Rüdiger Gretschel lived a life full of wine (Wine Director of Vinimark, executive winemaker of Reyneke Wines, amongst others), before he started his own project in 2017. Swartberg Wingerde was his opportunity to make his dream come true: to produce wine with the 4 hectare Pinotage from the farm of Dr. Hanekom and make it a perfet expression of the wilderness of its ecosystem.
On Thursday 19 June Rüdiger will tell all about his adventures as a pioneer in the Piekenierskloof. It is a fascinating story ful of challanges and obstacles, but above all about passion for wine and viticulture.
The tasting will start at 19:30 and will last until 21:00.
